Visits – Available Virtually
Kathleen offers both in-person and virtual programming. With more than 15 years of experience presenting in schools and libraries, Kathleen is happy to work with staff to tailor interactive sessions, tied to Language Arts and Social Studies curricula.
“If, during the course of a visit,” says Kathleen, “even one student sees him- or herself as a writer, it’s been a great day!”

Kathleen responded to students with an intimate, personalized, meaningful dialogue and shared her personal writing experience with openness and respect.
Kathleen is available for both in-person and virtual visits, centered on her writing life, definition of success, and the perseverance required in an industry where there are no guarantees.
In 2016, with colleague Elizabeth Falk, she presented “Opening Doors: Creating Moments of Transformation” at the New York State Reading Association Annual Conference.
$225 per session, for up to 60 minutes per session. A full-day visit of three sessions is $600 per day.
